We’re getting a facelift!

We are very excited to announce that we have been granted planning consent to revamp a part of the shopping centre.

The facelift includes the refurbishment of the façade and main entrance on Angel Place into Friary Walk, which is already home to Mothercare, New Look and Vision Express. The frontage of Angel Place will be upgraded in a traditional style that is in keeping with the surrounding architecture.

The shops facing Angel Place will be reconfigured to create opportunities for a mix of new businesses, retailers and restaurants following the completion of the regeneration work, which is expected to get underway early next year.

The works are a key part of our long-term vision to ensure Crowngate remains a leading shopping destination. The revamp will also help to preserve the character of the historic city and enhance what is already on offer at Friary Walk, as well as creating new job opportunities.

As Crowngate celebrates its 25th anniversary, the regeneration of Friary Walk follows on from the introduction of Crowngate Kitchen, a foodie-heaven in Chapel Walk which is home to Bill’s, Carluccio’s, GBK, Wildwood and Coffee Dough, the local independent café.

We look forward to bringing you more news from Friary Walk in the coming months, as Crowngate further expands the largest choice of shopping and dining in Worcester.
