Father Christmas is set to arrive in style at CrownGate Shopping Centre, following a parade through Worcester High Street.

Shoppers and visitors to Worcester are in for a festive treat on Sunday 20th November, as we welcome Father Christmas to the city for the first time this year.

Father Christmas will start his parade along Worcester High Street from 12:45pm, pausing outside the Guildhall around 1pm, before continuing his journey down Broad Street, into in Angel Place, before reaching his destination and home for the coming weeks, in Friary Walk at CrownGate.

This year Father Christmas will make his way to his grotto on-board the CrownGate Express – a very special ride-on train that will also carry some very lucky competition winners.

Christmas at CrownGate 2016 - Father ChristmasCompetitions are being run through the Worcester News and Free Radio, for the chance to WIN a fantastic CrownGate Christmas Experience; riding with Father Christmas on-board the CrownGate Express for the parade, winners will receive a new outfit for their special journey from Debenhams Worcester, be the first to meet Father Christmas in his grotto at Friary Walk, receive a VIP Reindeer encounter with Prancer and Dancer in Chapel Walk, before enjoying their dinner at either Bill’s or GBK in the Food Quarter at CrownGate. CrownGate marketing manager, Sara Matthews said: “We are delighted to welcome back our gentle giants to the shopping centre again this year. They were such a great attraction last year that it’s great to give people the opportunity to see them again and for children to see how much they’ve grown next to the Nutcrackers!

There is a fantastic prize up for grabs, of £250 to spend at CrownGate Shopping Centre, for the best #NutcrackerSelfie. All you need to do is take a photo of you with a Nutcracker and share it on the CrownGate Facebook page.
